FireWise
Cape Town is often ravaged by runaway bushfires that destroy the natural habitats of endangered animals. The Brenton Blue Butterfly, the Riverine Rabbit, and the Cape Parrot are all critically endangered and endemic to the Cape.
We created an engaging campaign for FireWise, a community fire management plan, to help highlight their plight. Under the campaign Don't Start Fires You Can't Stop, we created origami endangered animals. These interactive messages were handed out at schools around the Cape for children to play with, learn from and keep. Each leaflet contained information about the endangered animal and how wildfires affect their habitat.
